WE ARE TIMBER

Established over a decade ago, TIMBER was introduced to the men's skin care market after our founder began incorporating his own recipe of natural, organic ingredients into his skin care routine that specifically targeted men's rough and masculine skin.

Evidence will support that there are structural differences between men's skin and women's skin in a variety of ways. Androgen (testosterone) stimulation causes an increase in skin thickness, which accounts for why a man's skin is about 25% thicker than a woman's. In addition to being thicker, a man's skin texture is tougher. Also, men are known to under-utilize protective products such as sunscreen which can cause damage to the skin and impact hair follicles. The average pH of male skin is lower due to higher rate of sebum production in male skin. Men can, therefore, be slightly more prone to getting blocked pores and congestion.
